HRISTO GANEV

HRISTO GANEV is a Bulgarian screenwriter and director, born in 1924 in the village of Pavel Banya. He took part in the Resistance Movement during the Second World War. Partisan from the Chavdar Brigade. Hristo Ganev was expelled from the Bulgarian Communist Party because of his position on the work of Alexander Solzhenitsyn.
He graduated from the Faculty of Scriptwriting at the VGIK Institute of Cinema, Moscow. He works as an editor in the newspapers Starshel, Narodna Mladezh, Pardon. Until 1989 he was a longtime author and editor at the Boyana Feature Film Studio.
