THE CELESTIAL MECHANIC OF KITES
documentary 72’ © 2026

The Chinese say, ‘When you fly a kite, you send your troubles into the sky.’
This documentary follows a colourful group of people from different ages, nationalities, professions, and backgrounds, all united by their passion for kite flying. It’s a poetic, human story about the joy and freedom that kites bring; about the talent and dedication of their creators; about the festivals where flying enthusiasts from all over the world come together. A film about harmony in the universe, showing that the pilot, the kite, and the sky are connected by the same line.
